Le retour de la compilation qui rend hommage au Funk des ann\u00e9es 70 !<\/b><\/p>\n
La s\u00e9lection d\u00e9marre avec \u2019The <\/b>Payback<\/b>\u2019 de James<\/b> Brown<\/b>. Un funk lourd, minimaliste et hypnotique, le tempo est lent mais le trio basse batterie guitare est redoutable. L\u2019empreinte de James est compl\u00e9t\u00e9e par 3 titres en solo de ses musiciens (Maceo<\/b>, Fred<\/b> Wesley & Bobby Byrd<\/b>) o\u00f9 l\u2019omnipr\u00e9sence des cuivres sublime leur groove ultra funky. Dans un registre plus jazz funk on trouve le classique \u2018Do <\/b>it<\/b> Fluid<\/b>\u2019 des Blackbyrds<\/b> ainsi que les Black<\/b> Heat<\/b> avec une l\u00e9g\u00e8re touche afro funk pour un titre tir\u00e9 de leur 1er album. Les beatmakers appr\u00e9cieront \u2018It\u2019s<\/b> a new <\/b>day<\/b>\u2019 des Skull<\/b> Snaps<\/b> pour son break de batterie sampl\u00e9 plus de 400 fois\u00a0!\u00a0 Le \u2018Jungle <\/b>Boogie<\/b>\u2019 des Kool<\/b> & The Gang <\/b>est lui associ\u00e9 au film Pulp<\/b> Fiction<\/b> de Q. Tarantino<\/b> mais on retrouve aussi ce groupe sur le morceau \u2018Sport<\/b>\u2019 de Lightnin<\/b>\u2019<\/b> Rod<\/b> puisque la l\u00e9gende raconte que ce sont eux qui accompagnent incognito l\u2019un des leaders des Last<\/b> Poets<\/b>. Le bien nomm\u00e9 \u2018Too<\/b> Hot To Stop<\/b>\u2019 des Bar-<\/b>Kays<\/b> enflamme les dancefloors avec ses cuivres et son groove implacable alors que les \u00e9cossais d\u2019Average<\/b> White<\/b> Band<\/b> associ\u00e9 \u00e0 Ben E King <\/b>proposent un funk tr\u00e8s carr\u00e9 bourr\u00e9 de cuivres et de guitares funky.
