Living Gate sort son premier EP Deathlust chez Relapse Records. Compos\u00e9 de Aaron Rieseberg (YOB), Lennart Bossu (Oathbreaker, Amenra), Wim Coppers (Oathbreaker, Wiegedood) et Levy Seynaeve (Amenra, Wiegedood), Living Gate est un groupe international r\u00e9unissant des musiciens \u00e9m\u00e9rites Le projet est n\u00e9 d’un amour commun pour une \u00e9poque r\u00e9volue du death metal classique. Ces liens ont donn\u00e9 naissance au son death metal de Living Gate. L’ethos du groupe est enti\u00e8rement d\u00e9fini par les sons de l\u2019underground : volontairement d\u00e9pourvu de musique trop lisse, m\u00e9ticuleusement arrang\u00e9e, et renon\u00e7ant \u00e0 un jeu acrobatique et st\u00e9rile au profit de riffs effr\u00e9n\u00e9s. Living Gate accorde une place pr\u00e9pond\u00e9rante \u00e0 la batterie, f\u00e9roce et brute, \u00e0 laquelle se m\u00ealent des riffs mena\u00e7ants et oraisons gutturales. Bien que Living Gate s’en tienne strictement aux anciennes m\u00e9thodes du death metal, des morceaux abrasifs comme \u00ab\u00a0Heaven Ablaze\u00a0\u00bb et le fun\u00e8bre \u00ab\u00a0Deathlust\u00a0\u00bb positionnent le groupe dans le pr\u00e9sent, et prouvent que l’underground ne mourra jamais.<\/p>\n
