Brown<\/strong>) \u00e9tait membre du trio noise-rock Bastro (avec David Grubbs et John McEntire) et un membre fondateur de l&rsquo;\u00e9volution de ce m\u00eame groupe en Gastr del Sol, avant de former l\u2019embl\u00e9matique groupe de Chicago, Tortoise. En 1995, Brown quitte Tortoise pour poursuivre un certain nombre de projets, dont le groupe <strong>Directions<\/strong>. Apr\u00e8s avoir sorti un album sur Thrill Jockey, ce groupe est devenu inactif. <strong>Ken Brown<\/strong> termine seul un dernier album de <strong>Directions<\/strong> avant de mettre fin au projet. Ce disque, un maxi tr\u00e8s limit\u00e9 appel\u00e9 <strong><em>Echoes<\/em><\/strong>, trouvera un \u00e9cho, justement, aupr\u00e8s d&rsquo;un large \u00e9ventail d&rsquo;artistes et de producteurs, notamment <strong>Kieran Hebden<\/strong> qui pr\u00e9cise que ce disque est l\u2019\u00e9tincelle qui lui a inspir\u00e9 le projet Four Tet. Disponible pour la premi\u00e8re fois depuis sa sortie originale en 1997, <strong><em>Echoes &#8211; Anniversary Edition<\/em><\/strong> comprend les deux longues pistes originales et a \u00e9t\u00e9 agr\u00e9ment\u00e9 de la d\u00e9mos de 1995 ainsi qu&rsquo;un tout nouveau remix de <strong>Deadly Dragons<\/strong> &#8211; la bande de DJ de Chicago des ann\u00e9es 1990 dont les membres comprenaient <strong>Ken Brown<\/strong>, <strong>John Herndon<\/strong>, <strong>Casey Rice<\/strong> et <strong>Daniel Marcellus Givens<\/strong>, entre autres. Bri\u00e8vement r\u00e9unis pendant le confinement li\u00e9 au COVID, sp\u00e9cifiquement pour cr\u00e9er ce nouveau remix de <strong>Directions<\/strong>, <strong>Deadly Dragons<\/strong> a s\u00e9par\u00e9ment, mais collectivement, fabriqu\u00e9 un nouveau titre de 9 minutes m\u00ealant jazz spirituel, hip-hop et dub.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>1.
