Coinc\u00e9s chez eux, sans aucun concert de pr\u00e9vu dans un avenir proche, Bill, Bonnie et <strong>Drag City<\/strong> ont eu besoin d\u2019un plan d\u2019action pour se tenir occup\u00e9s, pour ne pas dire rester sains d\u2019esprit. En l\u2019absence de compagnie ou de quoi que ce soit sur le planning, jouer des chansons qu\u2019ils aimaient devint une id\u00e9e ; puis jouer avec les gens qu\u2019ils aimaient, l\u2019envie. Et pour rendre le tout amusant \u2013 cr\u00e9er des duos au hasard, l\u2019essence m\u00eame du blind date, devint le plan. Ils ont choisi leurs titres favoris, chaque chanson reprise ici a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9crite et chant\u00e9e par quelqu\u2019un qu\u2019ils aiment et admirent : <strong>Yusuf Islam, Hank Williams Jr., Dave Rich, The Other Years, Billie Eilish, Steely Dan, Lou Reed, Jerry Jeff Walker, Robert Wyatt, Lowell George, Johnnie Frierson, Demis Roussos, Leonard Cohen, David Berman, Iggy Pop<\/strong> et <strong>John Prine<\/strong>. Ils ont contact\u00e9 les musiciens de la galaxie <strong>Drag City<\/strong> et tr\u00e8s vite, des chansons se sont mises \u00e0 faire des allers-retours dans les airs ! Ils se sont divertis ainsi tout au long de l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 2020, alors que tant de choses dans le monde allaient mal. \u00c0 l\u2019image des meilleures f\u00eates, c\u2019\u00e9tait encore mieux qu&rsquo;ils ne l\u2019avaient esp\u00e9r\u00e9. Faire des albums a toujours n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 un grand sens de la communaut\u00e9 et un m\u00e9lange surprenant d\u2019ind\u00e9pendance et d\u2019unit\u00e9, d\u2019inspiration et de sens de l\u2019utile. <em><strong>Blind Date Party<\/strong><\/em> est un album qui c\u00e9l\u00e8bre les moments pass\u00e9s ensemble, qui rappelle qu\u2019ils ne sont pas toujours acquis et qui est d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 ceux qui sont partis mais qui continueront \u00e0 vivre en nous.
