Et c&rsquo;est ce qu&rsquo;elle fait, dans une nouvelle \u0153uvre embras\u00e9e qui illumine autant qu\u2019elle blesse. La compositrice, productrice et vid\u00e9aste polymathique, explore la crise du sida, le changement climatique et son exp\u00e9rience v\u00e9cue &#8211; en tant que musicienne queer, issue d&rsquo;une longue lign\u00e9e de pasteurs, qui contemple le monde alors qu&rsquo;il se consume &#8211; \u00e0 travers des chansons aux strates immacul\u00e9es et pourtant d\u00e9pouill\u00e9es qui incitent l&rsquo;auditeur \u00e0 se mettre \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9coute, agissant comme un aimant sur notre attention. Multi-instrumentiste issue d&rsquo;une formation classique en violon, Emily pense souvent en termes d&rsquo;ensemble lorsqu&rsquo;elle compose. Avec une liste de collaborateurs dont son p\u00e8re, joueur de cor et ancien musicien religieux, elle construit les chansons de <em><strong>Regards to the End<\/strong><\/em> \u00e0 partir de strates mesur\u00e9es de voix, synth\u00e9tiseurs, batteries, piano, instruments \u00e0 cordes (violon, violoncelle, basse) et instruments \u00e0 vent (clarinette, fl\u00fbte, cor). La musique est numineuse en partie parce que l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience d&rsquo;\u00e9coute est une exp\u00e9rience corporelle retentissante.
