Straight from the Throat, son deuxi\u00e8me album, publi\u00e9 en juillet 1976 par Harvest Records, r\u00e9v\u00e8le le musicien sous sa forme la plus authentique : \u201cphilosophe hurlant\u201d, cynique mais juste, insolent et m\u00e9lancolique, regardant le monde \u00e0 la recherche de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9. Dans Straight from the Throat, il crie, hurle, se d\u00e9bat et s&rsquo;adonne \u00e0 un abandon rituel, dans un style avant-folk et cosmique qui, par moments, se transforme en rock sismique. Il \u00e9voque l&rsquo;adolescence, des corbillards qui passent et des voitures de mari\u00e9s dans un po\u00e8me adress\u00e9 \u00e0 son jeune fr\u00e8re, Tomoharu, et regarde la glace fondre sur la rivi\u00e8re Mitane \u00e0 l\u2019arriv\u00e9e du printemps.
