Chef-d’\u0153uvre entre blue-eyed soul et yacht rock, Black and White Raven est un album n\u00e9 du r\u00eave de jeunesse d’Archie James Cavanaugh d’enregistrer sa propre musique au fin fond des r\u00e9gions sauvages de l’Alaska. Avec un casting fruit de voyages au nord-ouest de la c\u00f4te Pacifique et qui r\u00e9unit notamment Tony Bellamy et Pete DePoe de Redbone, ce premier album a \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9 \u00e0 la toute fin des ann\u00e9es 70. Sorti en 1980 sur un pressage priv\u00e9, le disque d\u00e9sormais ultra recherch\u00e9, est rest\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque tr\u00e8s confidentiel. Des traces de disco, de soul, de funk, de gospel et de schooner rock se m\u00ealent librement \u00e0 son h\u00e9ritage tlingit, ethnie indig\u00e8ne du sud-est de l\u2019Alaska, cr\u00e9ant un portrait optimiste et d\u00e9sinvolte de la vie dans le 49e \u00c9tat.
