Fond\u00e9 par Bruce Cawdron, l’ancien percussionniste de Godspeed You! Black Emperor, et la violoncelliste Rebecca Foon (Saltland, Silver Mt Zion, Set Fire To Flames), le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre ensemble de musique instrumentale Esmerine a longtemps brod\u00e9 des \u0153uvres de chambre \u00e9mouvantes en utilisant des fils de post-classique, de post-rock, de musique minimaliste, de n\u00e9o-baroque, de jazz, de pop et un large \u00e9ventail de traditions folkloriques. Esmerine cr\u00e9e un son distinctif et imm\u00e9diatement identifiable qui d\u00e9fie constamment les pi\u00e8ges de la \u00ab\u00a0fusion\u00a0\u00bb, forgeant des bandes originales \u00e9motives et cin\u00e9matographiques sous les sensibilit\u00e9s sonores dominantes du postpunk grit, du Wall-of-Sound, du drone et de l’ambient sombre.
