The Winston Brothers est le projet studio du multi-instrumentiste et producteur hambourgeois Sebastian Nagel (The Mighty Mocambos, Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band) et du batteur \/ percussionniste Lucas Kochbeck (The KBCS, Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band, Hamburg Spinners). V\u00e9t\u00e9rans de la musique avec un penchant pour la production analogique, les deux hommes combinent un \u00e9tat d\u2019esprit boom bap avec un sens aigu du funk et collaborent fr\u00e9quemment pour cr\u00e9er des arrangements dynamiques, \u00e0 la fois clin d\u2019\u0153il au pass\u00e9 du genre et musique contemporaine organique. Avec sa batterie lourde, ses breaks juteux, ses grooves ent\u00eatants, ses riffs br\u00fblants et ses instrumentaux m\u00e9lodiques, Drift puise dans l\u2019\u00e9nergie brute du funk des ann\u00e9es 60 et 70. Les motifs r\u00e9p\u00e9titifs et accrocheurs \u00e9voluent vers des paysages sonores vibrants, avec une dynamique propre, allant de l\u2019incendiaire au cool, voire \u00e0 l\u2019onirique.
