Having Been Built on Sand de Dickie Landry & Lawrence Weiner a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ue comme une \u00e9dition vinyle et publi\u00e9e par la galerie R\u00fcdiger Sch\u00f6ttle de Munich avec une conception de la pochette par Weiner. L’\u0153uvre se compose de huit titres sans nom. Lawrence Weiner, Tina Girouard et Britta Le Va r\u00e9citent des textes avec les bois de Dickie Landry, le tout enregistr\u00e9 dans la r\u00e9verb\u00e9ration naturelle du studio de Robert Rauschenberg, une ancienne mission et chapelle du Lower Manhattan. En superposant Girouard en anglais, Le Va en allemand et Weiner en anglais et en allemand, des blocs de textes apparent\u00e9s ou physiquement proches se r\u00e9p\u00e8tent, s’inversent et se croisent avec la musique de Landry comme constante. Les couches de texte et de son ont des significations qui fluctuent en complexit\u00e9 et en port\u00e9e, et comme une grande partie du travail de Weiner, au-del\u00e0 des simples faits.
