Anglais n\u00e9 au P\u00e9rou, <strong>Caesar Spencer<\/strong> est \u00e9galement Su\u00e9dois, mais r\u00e9side aujourd\u2019hui en France. Souhaitant puiser dans la musique qui avait illumin\u00e9 sa vie de l\u2019autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la Manche (The Kinks, Bowie, The Smiths), tout en y insufflant une certaine sensibilit\u00e9 et sophistication \u00e0 la fran\u00e7aise, il a trac\u00e9 le plan d\u2019un premier album tr\u00e8s ambitieux. Faisant largement \u00e9cho \u00e0 son propre parcours, <em><strong>Get Out Into Yourself<\/strong> <\/em>est une \u0153uvre conceptuelle. L\u2019album trace un personnage qui voyage \u00e0 travers diff\u00e9rents paysages culturels, et nous conte un r\u00e9cit empreint de questions existentielles dans un monde en perp\u00e9tuel changement. C\u2019est donc un disque qui transcende les genres et les fronti\u00e8res \u00e0 chaque instant. Oscillant entre la pop pastorale britannique et le surf-rock de la c\u00f4te ouest, en passant par des chansons provocantes aux accents cin\u00e9matographiques fran\u00e7ais ou des ballades de crooner cosmiques provenant de l\u2019univers de Bowie, chaque recoin de <em><strong>Get Out Into Yourself<\/strong><\/em> est teint\u00e9 d\u2019une imagination incandescente et d\u2019un esprit international. Mais l\u2019album est surtout un hommage affectueux \u00e0 la France, une nation qui, \u00e0 elle seule, a raviv\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9tincelle cr\u00e9atrice de Caesar. L\u2019enregistrement de l\u2019album lui a donn\u00e9 l\u2019occasion de rendre hommage \u00e0 ce patrimoine musical remarquable, pass\u00e9 trop souvent inaper\u00e7u. Il a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d\u2019enregistrer avec le producteur <strong>Ga\u00e9tan Boudy<\/strong> (Zaz, Alex Renart, Emel Mathlouthi). Outre<strong> Jacqueline Ta\u00efeb<\/strong>, on retrouve sur l\u2019album <strong>Jean Felzine<\/strong> et <strong>Jo Wedin<\/strong>. L\u2019ic\u00f4ne du punk fran\u00e7ais <strong>Gilles Tandy <\/strong>(Les Olivensteins) pr\u00eate \u00e9galement ses talents. <strong>Mareva Galanter<\/strong> se joint \u00e0 Caesar sur le morceau pop baroque <strong>\u201cWhen I Whisper In Your Ear\u201d<\/strong>. Faisant habilement le pont entre la pop britannique et la pop fran\u00e7aise, <strong>Caesar Spencer<\/strong> nous livre un tr\u00e9sor de chansons d\u2019un calibre classique et d\u2019une \u00e9l\u00e9gance sur mesure.<\/p>\n<p>1.
