En 2016, le guitariste et leader du groupe emo lo-fi pop am\u00e9ricain Empire ! Empire ! (I Was a Lonely Estate), Keith Latinen, a presque abandonn\u00e9 la musique en mettant fin au groupe apr\u00e8s une d\u00e9cennie d’\u00e9criture et de tourn\u00e9es constantes. Petit \u00e0 petit, l’envie d’\u00e9crire est revenue d’elle-m\u00eame. Latinen a alors mis tout son c\u0153ur dans quelque chose de nouveau. Le r\u00e9sultat final est son premier album solo sous le nom de Mt. Oriander, Then the Lightness Leaves and I Become Heavy Again. Si l’album porte la marque de Latinen – des guitares chaleureuses, une batterie intimiste et des voix murmurantes – il fait \u00e9galement l’\u00e9loge d’une approche plus nuanc\u00e9e de l’\u00e9criture de chansons. Chaque chanson est comme un livre ouvert, un nouveau chapitre qui montre que la vie continue, peu importe les pertes subies. Latinen joue de la guitare, de la basse, de la batterie, de la trompette et chante, mais il est rejoint par un grand nombre d’amis qui ont pr\u00eat\u00e9 leurs talents : Matt Hull, Brandon Lutmer, Warren Franklin, Mat Halliday, Andrew Stefano, Cathy Latinen, Colleen Dow, Ana Hughes Perez, Ben Hendricks, Brian Carley, Nick Kwas, Elliott Green et Jacob West.<\/p>\n
