Ce nouveau recueil percutant du trio punk garage new-yorkais Skull Practitioners succ\u00e8de \u00e0 Death Buy, leur EP de 2019 sorti sur In The Red. Prouvant une fois de plus que le \u00ab\u00a0power trio\u00a0\u00bb n’est pas seulement une expression d\u2019un pass\u00e9 r\u00e9volu mais bel et bien une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 du XXI\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, le groupe lance Negative Stars, son premier album. Cette collection de huit titres a \u00e9t\u00e9 collectivement produite par le groupe, avec Ted Young \u00e0 l\u2019ing\u00e9nierie. Negative Stars est l’aboutissement d’ann\u00e9es de travail dans les clubs et les studios de New York. \u00c0 l’\u00e9poque, le guitariste s’\u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 impos\u00e9 aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de Steve Wynn & the Miracle Three et du Dream Syndicate. Le groupe s\u2019applique \u00e0 faire revivre un dusty punk du Los Angeles du d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 80, \u00e0 la fa\u00e7on de Gun Club, X, Flesh Eaters, ou encore Jon Spencer. Les Skull Practitioners ont jou\u00e9 avec Lydia Lunch, Live Skull, le Art Gray Noizz Quintet, et leurs confr\u00e8res du label In the Red, le Wolfmanhattan Project (Kid Congo Powers, Mick Collins et Bob Bert).<\/p>\n
