Gap Girls est le projet synth-pop de Jacob Rubeck, pilier de la sc\u00e8ne DIY de Los Angeles. En tant que membre de l’\u00e9lectrisant duo de rock ind\u00e9pendant Surf Curse, Rubeck n’est pas \u00e9tranger \u00e0 une bonne accroche, mais lorsqu’il troque les guitares jangly pour les synth\u00e9s, un tout nouveau monde s’ouvre \u00e0 lui. Sur son nouvel album Forever Love, Forever After, ce monde est fait d’amour, d’espoir et de bien-\u00eatre. Contrairement aux sons sombres et m\u00e9lancoliques du pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent album de Gap Girls, Street Desires (2019), Forever Love, Forever After sonne comme un triomphe exaltant de l’amour, sous toutes ses formes myst\u00e9rieuses. Avec des bo\u00eetes \u00e0 rythmes percutantes, des synth\u00e9s chatoyants et des basses qui grondent dans la poitrine, ces chansons sont un pur bonheur de synth-pop pour laisser entrer l’amour<\/p>\n
