En 2020, le guitariste irlandais Cian Nugent est retourn\u00e9 vivre dans sa maison familiale \u00e0 Dublin pour s’occuper de sa m\u00e8re, Kathy, qui se remettait alors d’un infarctus et souffrait d’aphasie (difficult\u00e9s d’\u00e9locution). Elle a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 dire \u00ab\u00a0elle me ram\u00e8ne sur la terre des vivants\u00a0\u00bb, apparemment sans savoir d’o\u00f9 cela venait ni ce que cela signifiait. Cian, qui \u00e0 l’\u00e9poque travaillait sur des chansons pour ce qui allait devenir son quatri\u00e8me album, a estim\u00e9 que ce titre conviendrait parfaitement \u00e0 ce disque. Les chansons de cet album sont un moyen de faire face au changement et d’accepter de nouveaux avenirs. Kathy est \u00e9galement \u00e0 l’origine de la pochette, une peinture qu’elle a r\u00e9alis\u00e9e alors qu’elle \u00e9tait encore \u00e0 l’h\u00f4pital. Sept ans apr\u00e8s le pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent album de Nugent, She Brings Me Back To The Land Of The Living fusionne les styles pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment explor\u00e9s dans Night Fiction (2016), l’expansif Born With The Caul (2014) et son \u00e9nigmatique premier album Doubles (2011). De nombreuses tourn\u00e9es \u00e0 travers l’Am\u00e9rique du Nord et l’Europe, notamment en tant que guitariste avec Steve Gunn, Ryley Walker et Nap Eyes, ont permis \u00e0 Nugent d’acqu\u00e9rir une meilleure compr\u00e9hension de sa musicalit\u00e9 et une plus grande clart\u00e9 d’esprit, ce qui a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 l’\u00e9laboration de son meilleur album \u00e0 ce jour.<\/p>\n
