Burroughs, le label belge Sub Rosa a travaill\u00e9 avec Burroughs pour sortir un autre album : Break Through In Grey Room. Compil\u00e9 \u00e0 l’origine en 1986 par le producteur Bill Rich, l’album comprend les enregistrements exp\u00e9rimentaux de Burroughs de 1961 \u00e0 1976, notamment des enregistrements de terrain r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par Burroughs avec les Master Musicians of Jajouka, des collaborations exp\u00e9rimentales avec le math\u00e9maticien Ian Sommerville et le peintre et inventeur de la technique litt\u00e9raire \u201ccut-up\u201d Brion Gysin. Break Through In Grey Room documente William S. Burroughs pendant son s\u00e9jour en Europe et en Angleterre, o\u00f9 il a travaill\u00e9 avec Ian Sommerville sur l’enregistrement avec la technique du \u00ab\u00a0cut-up\u00a0\u00bb. La formation technique de Sommerville lui a permis de contribuer aux premiers d\u00e9veloppements des spectacles son et lumi\u00e8re \u00e0 Londres, puis \u00e0 travailler avec du mat\u00e9riel fourni par Paul McCartney dans un appartement appartenant \u00e0 Ringo Starr. De nature exp\u00e9rimentale, le disque est autant une exposition des techniques de studio et de composition qu’un t\u00e9moignage de la culture underground de l’\u00e9poque. Pour la r\u00e9\u00e9dition de 2023, Dais Records a collabor\u00e9 avec les h\u00e9ritiers de William S. Burroughs pour r\u00e9\u00e9diter l’album en vinyle et en CD, enti\u00e8rement remasteris\u00e9 par Josh Bonati.
