L.A. Shit est le nouvel album de GracieHorse, un groupe de country bien percutant men\u00e9 par Gracie Jackson, la fondatrice du duo grunge surf rock dream pop Fat Creeps. Il pr\u00e9sente des contributions de King Tuff, Emmett Kelley (Cairo Gang, Bonnie \u00ab\u00a0Prince\u00a0\u00bb Billy, Ty Segall Band), et Bobbie Lovesong. GracieHorse tisse des histoires en chansons. Sur L.A. Shit, son premier album avec Wharf Cat, elle nous emm\u00e8ne dans les cinq derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es de sa vie. On l\u2019aper\u00e7oit en tant qu’infirmi\u00e8re itin\u00e9rante, vivant dans les grandes \u00e9tendues bleues du Wyoming, mangeant des ailes de poulet dans une combinaison hazmat, commentant le caract\u00e8re si \u00e9trange d\u2019une ville comme Los Angeles, remplie d’aspirants cow-boys et de fast-foods. C’est un disque de musique country impeccable, le genre de musique que l’on met \u00e0 fond dans son camion en parcourant des tron\u00e7ons d’autoroute d\u00e9serts. C’est aussi un disque vuln\u00e9rable sur l’intensit\u00e9 de la vie, le tout racont\u00e9 avec un sens de l’humour et une conscience de soi ac\u00e9r\u00e9e. L.A. Shit marque le retour de Gracie apr\u00e8s une pause de plusieurs ann\u00e9es pendant laquelle elle a notamment fait les ch\u0153urs pour Alex Izenberg, Meernaa, Color Green, Jonny Kosmo, Banny Grove et The Lentils. Pour r\u00e9aliser l\u2019album, elle a fait appel \u00e0 beaucoup de collaborateurs, dont des musiciens de tourn\u00e9e ou de studio qui sont rest\u00e9s chez eux pendant la pand\u00e9mie.
