Plus connu en tant que clavi\u00e9riste, coproducteur et membre du c\u00e9l\u00e8bre groupe australien Haitus Kaiyote, Simon a particip\u00e9 \u00e0 de nombreux projets, mais n&rsquo;avait pas encore sorti d&rsquo;album sous son propre nom jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent.\u00a0 L&rsquo;EP, qui comprend deux titres originaux et deux remixes des Australiens Harvey Sutherland et Close Counters, a \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9 entre deux projets au Grove, un petit sanctuaire d&rsquo;enregistrement \u00e0 Melbourne. Dans le studio, 30 \u00e0 40 synth\u00e9tiseurs, tous minutieusement raccord\u00e9s pour \u00eatre simultan\u00e9ment accessibles et pr\u00eats \u00e0 \u00eatre enregistr\u00e9s en un instant. Une batterie situ\u00e9e dans un coin \u00e9tait constamment \u00e9quip\u00e9e d&rsquo;un micro, et tout passait par une multitude de tables de mixage analogiques offrant diff\u00e9rentes saveurs de tonalit\u00e9 et de texture. \u00ab\u00a0Good Hair Day\u00a0\u00bb est un jam dansant et contagieux, avec une ligne de basse au synth\u00e9 ultra funky qui rappelle le r\u00e9pertoire de Herbie Hancock dans les ann\u00e9es 1970.
