Calling the Dogs est un album qui s’ouvre sur l’int\u00e9rieur et se ferme sur l’ext\u00e9rieur. C’est un album qui consid\u00e8re les personnes que nous devenons en fonction des personnes qui nous entourent. Il marque une nouvelle \u00e8re pour le groupe, non seulement sur le plan personnel, mais aussi sur le plan th\u00e9matique. C’est un album d’auto-r\u00e9flexion, ainsi qu’un album qui exprime la col\u00e8re d’une mani\u00e8re plus directe que jamais. S’inspirant d’artistes comme les Ramones, Violent Femmes et Bloc Party, Calling the Dogs est un nouveau chapitre pour Citizen. Des chansons comme l’ouverture \u00ab\u00a0Headtrip\u00a0\u00bb et le premier single \u00ab\u00a0If You’re Lonely\u00a0\u00bb sont empreintes d’\u00e9nergie gr\u00e2ce au producteur Rob Schnapf. A l’instar de leur album Life In Your Glass World sorti en 2021, il y a une influence claire du renouveau du garage rock de New York sur des chansons comme \u00ab\u00a0Hyper Trophy\u00a0\u00bb et le groovy \u00ab\u00a0Can’t Take It Slow\u00a0\u00bb. Mais Citizen ne laisse jamais une seule humeur s’installer trop longtemps sur Calling the Dogs,\u00a0 l’album comporte des moments de bonheur pop, d’agression punk et de m\u00e9lancolie propre \u00e0 Citizen. En s’appuyant sur leurs exp\u00e9riences personnelles et leurs prouesses musicales collectives, Citizen a cr\u00e9\u00e9 un album qui repousse les limites et met l’auditeur au d\u00e9fi d’explorer ses propres paysages \u00e9motionnels.<\/p>\n
