Compos\u00e9e et produite sur pr\u00e8s de trois ans, la bande originale de Spencer Doran pour le jeu vid\u00e9o Season : A Letter To The Future sous-tend l\u2019exploration m\u00e9ditative dans laquelle le personnage principal doit sauver les souvenirs d’une civilisation au bord de l’effondrement. Une collection luxuriante de transmissions de ce monde chaleureusement en d\u00e9clin, qui nous fait entendre une culture et une \u00e9cologie \u00e0 travers l’oreille sentimentale de son dernier t\u00e9moin. Spencer Doran est notamment connu pour la compilation de Kanky\u014d Ongaku : Japanese Ambient, Environmental & New Age Music 1980-1990, et son propre travail futuriste en tant que membre de Visible Cloaks. La partition a \u00e9t\u00e9 compos\u00e9e pour des instruments imaginaires et historiques. L’influence de l’impressionnisme du d\u00e9but du XXe si\u00e8cle, de Ravel, Satie, Debussy, D\u00e9odat de S\u00e9verac, est perceptible, en particulier dans les pi\u00e8ces pour piano. Ailleurs, d’autres instruments historiques se font entendre : viole, harpe, fl\u00fbte, orgue portatif (petit orgue), c\u00e9lesta. La partition fonctionne comme un \u00ab\u00a0vent musical\u00a0\u00bb – des fragments sonores qui d\u00e9rivent et tourbillonnent avec le m\u00eame comportement que le biome acoustique du paysage.
