L’histoire de \u00ab\u00a0l’indie crowd qui apprend enfin \u00e0 danser\u00a0\u00bb est un peu exag\u00e9r\u00e9e et non pertinente en 2023 mais ce qui reste clair, c’est que cet album, fait par un groupe punk de San Diego qui avait d\u00e9m\u00e9nag\u00e9 \u00e0 New York via Seattle, et produit par les DFA dans leur propre studio, o\u00f9 le temps, le mat\u00e9riel et les id\u00e9es, bonnes et mauvaises, ne manquaient pas, conserve une \u00e9nergie et une recherche de catharsis qui pourrait bulldozer m\u00eame les plus crisp\u00e9s.
