Trop jeunes pour \u00e9crire des m\u00e9moires, la plupart des artistes ont \u00e0 peine \u00e9tabli une quelconque comp\u00e9tence musicale quand ils atteignent la vingtaine, et encore moins des compositions d’une maturit\u00e9 et d’une complexit\u00e9 comparables \u00e0 celles de Catherine Howe. What A Beautiful Place, cependant, est un effort prodigieux issu des ruminations m\u00e9lancoliques de la post-adolescence. Les douze chansons de l’album se d\u00e9roulent comme un roman d’apprentissage classique, commen\u00e7ant dans le comt\u00e9 industriel enfum\u00e9 du Yorkshire, transform\u00e9 par le paysage cr\u00e9atif \u00e9lectrifi\u00e9 de Londres au milieu du si\u00e8cle, et se retirant dans la chaude f\u00e9licit\u00e9 pastorale du comt\u00e9 de Dorset sur la c\u00f4te sud de l’Angleterre. Produit par le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre pianiste de jazz Bobby Scott, l’album – que l’on prend souvent pour un album conceptuel – n’a \u00e9t\u00e9 disponible que pendant un mois au cours de l’\u00e9t\u00e9 1971 et a disparu apr\u00e8s la fermeture de Reflection Records en 1971.<\/p>\n
