Le saxophoniste Yann Jankielewicz, qui fut le dernier directeur musical de Tony Allen, livre Keep It Simple, son premier album solo. Il s\u2019y entoure de deux musiciens embl\u00e9matiques de la sc\u00e8ne new yorkaise. Jason Lindner est aux claviers (David Bowie, Meshell, Avishai Cohen), qui poss\u00e8de cette capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 trouver des sons in\u00e9dits et puissants, avec un jeu direct et sans fioritures. A la batterie, on trouve Josh Dion (John Scofield, Randy Brecker) qui joue notamment du synth\u00e9 basse \u00e0 la main droite, ce qui force son jeu \u00e0 rester simple. De retour \u00e0 Paris, Yann a continu\u00e9 \u00e0 creuser et \u00e0 ajouter des saxophones, des claviers et des percussions. Rester simple ? C\u2019est la mission que s\u2019est donn\u00e9 Yann tout au long de la cr\u00e9ation de ce disque, de l\u2019\u00e9criture \u00e0 la production aux parties improvis\u00e9es. Rester simple pour cr\u00e9er de l\u2019inattendu, de la surprise dans les structures, de l\u2019authenticit\u00e9.
