Disponible \u00e0 l’origine uniquement en tant que cadeau promotionnel, Abdication… For Your Love de Reigning Sound est sorti pour la premi\u00e8re fois en 2019 via Merge Records. Lorsqu’il a \u00e9t\u00e9 approch\u00e9 par le constructeur automobile Scion en 2011 pour r\u00e9aliser un album pour sa promotion, Greg Cartwright, le leader de Reigning Sound, s’est trouv\u00e9 dans l’impossibilit\u00e9 de refuser – malgr\u00e9 l’existence t\u00e9nue de son groupe \u00e0 l’\u00e9poque. \u00c0 la m\u00eame \u00e9poque, Dan Auerbach des Black Keys venait de s’installer \u00e0 Nashville et mettait les derni\u00e8res touches \u00e0 un studio priv\u00e9. Un budget, un super studio, un producteur talentueux. Il ne lui manquait plus qu’un groupe. Au pied lev\u00e9, il a t\u00e9l\u00e9phon\u00e9 aux Jay Vons, qui ont dit oui. En quelques heures, le groupe \u00e9tait en route pour Nashville. En deux jours, ils ont enregistr\u00e9 cinq chansons. Il a associ\u00e9 ces cinq chansons \u00e0 trois chutes de l’album pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent de Reigning Sound, Love and Curses.<\/p>\n
