Pr\u00e8s de dix ans apr\u00e8s leur dernier album, Lilacs and Champagne reprend l\u00e0 o\u00f9 ce dernier, Midnight Features Vol. 2 : Made Flesh, s’\u00e9tait arr\u00eat\u00e9. Avec des excursions bizarres dans la musique sentimentale faite pour la t\u00e9l\u00e9vision – et des ch\u0153urs d’enfants invoquant la musique la plus sombre et la plus effrayante que le groupe ait cr\u00e9\u00e9e \u00e0 ce jour – Fantasy World est \u00e0 la fois transcendant et traumatisant. Malgr\u00e9 la pr\u00e9sence de deux membres fondateurs de Grails (les multi-instrumentistes Emil Amos et Alex Hall), Fantasy World ne ressemble que tr\u00e8s peu au noyau dur du groupe. Existant auparavant principalement dans un domaine adjacent au hip-hop instrumental (J Dilla, Clams Casino, Madlib), Fantasy World expose la lign\u00e9e plus profonde de Lilacs & Champagne en tant qu\u2019agitateurs culturels et amateurs de collage dans la veine des l\u00e9gendaires satiristes du son, Negativland et Severed Heads.<\/p>\n
