Grim Iconic…(Sadistic Mantra), le deuxi\u00e8me album et le premier pour Sub Pop de l’ensemble art-punk J.R.C.G., men\u00e9 par Justin Gallego (\u00e9galement membre de Dreamdecay), est rempli de morceaux inqui\u00e9tants et sombrement m\u00e9lodiques qui m\u00e9langent le krautrock, les rythmes latins et le post-punk en un rago\u00fbt hypnotique. L\u2019album est anim\u00e9 par des forces oppos\u00e9es : abstractions bruyantes et rythmes \u00e9troitement structur\u00e9s, angoisse et dissolution dans le monde ext\u00e9rieur et renforcement \u00e0 l’int\u00e9rieur, apathie et catharsis. Grim Iconic…(Sadistic Mantra) associe l’\u00e9lectronique \u00e0 des chansons accrocheuses et \u00e0 la batterie puissante de Gallego d’une mani\u00e8re qui semble visc\u00e9rale et nouvelle. Bien que J.R.C.G. soit un projet solo, con\u00e7u et ex\u00e9cut\u00e9 principalement dans le home studio de Gallego, il a trouv\u00e9 la force d’ouvrir le projet \u00e0 d’autres, \u00e0 commencer par Seth Manchester, coproducteur. L’album comprend aussi un m\u00e9lange fascinant de musiciens : Morgan Henderson (The Blood Brothers, Fleet Foxes), Jason Clackley (Dreamdecay, The Exquisites), Jon Scheid (Dreamdecay, U Sco), Erica Miller (Casual Hex, Big Bite), Veronica Dye (Terminator), Phil Cleary (U Sco), et Alex Gaziano (Dreamdecay, Kidcrash, Science Amplification).<\/p>\n
