Man or Astro-man ? est un groupe am\u00e9ricain de surf rock form\u00e9 \u00e0 Auburn, en Alabama, au d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1990 et qui s’est fait conna\u00eetre au cours de la d\u00e9cennie suivante. Essentiellement instrumental, le groupe m\u00e9lange le style surf rock du d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1960 avec les sons new wave et punk rock de la fin des ann\u00e9es 1970 et du d\u00e9but des ann\u00e9es 1980. Man or Astro-man ? \u00e9tait connu pour son attachement anachronique aux th\u00e8mes de science-fiction, aux samples audio, aux appareils \u00e9lectroniques obscurs (tels que les theremins et les bobines Tesla) et \u00e0 ses prestations sc\u00e9niques tr\u00e8s \u00e9nergiques. Avec Experiment Zero, le groupe d\u00e9ploie une v\u00e9locit\u00e9 punk maniaque, et saupoudre sa musique de bruits d’oscillateurs \u00e0 ondes sinuso\u00efdales et d’extraits sonores de documentaires spatiaux.<\/p>\n
