Le nouvel album de Stephen O’Malley, cofondateur de SUNN O))), avec des \u0153uvres in\u00e9dites pour orgue, contient deux compositions longues qu’il interpr\u00e8te avec la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre organiste Kali Malone et Frederikke Hoffmeier (Puce Mary). L’album a \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9 sur Les Grandes Orgues (Scherrer (1777), Walker (1867), Kuhn (1995)) \u00e0 l’\u00e9glise Saint-Fran\u00e7ois de Lausanne, en Suisse, autour de No\u00ebl 2021. Ces \u0153uvres ont \u00e9t\u00e9 initialement compos\u00e9es par Stephen O’Malley dans le cadre d’une suite intitul\u00e9e Les Sph\u00e8res (effondrez-les), phases I-V, pour une collaboration avec la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre chor\u00e9graphe belgo-suisse Cindy Van Acker. Outre les deux pi\u00e8ces pour orgue pr\u00e9sentes sur ce disque, la suite comprenait \u00e9galement les phases III et V pour guitare \u00e9lectrique, amplificateurs et \u00e9lectronique (interpr\u00e9t\u00e9es par Stephen O’Malley et Kali Malone), et la phase IV pour ensemble de percussions (interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e par Eklekto). Mix\u00e9 par Stephen O\u2019Malley \u00e0 EMS (Stockholm), et par Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier Delaby et Tristan Mazire \u00e0 Paris en f\u00e9vrier 2022. Mastering et gravure sur laque par Rashad Becker \u00e0 Berlin en juin 2025. Pressage parfait chez Optimal (Allemagne). Cet album est une coproduction avec La Becque Editions.
