Apr\u00e8s des d\u00e9cennies d&rsquo;absence, Braufman a fait un retour triomphal avec la sortie de deux albums tr\u00e8s appr\u00e9ci\u00e9s en 2020 et 2024, qui ont fait de lui une figure incontournable et un acteur majeur de la sc\u00e8ne contemporaine, longtemps qualifi\u00e9 de \u00ab l\u00e9gende du free jazz \u00bb. Enregistr\u00e9 en une seule journ\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;automne 2025, Anthem for Peace est un album studio in\u00e9dit qui r\u00e9v\u00e8le Braufman dans toute sa splendeur actuelle. \u00c0 la t\u00eate d&rsquo;un quartet compos\u00e9 de la vibraphoniste Patricia Brennan, du bassiste Luke Stewart et du batteur Chad Taylor, il livre des compositions concises et percutantes, oscillant avec fluidit\u00e9 entre hymnes spirituels, post-bop entra\u00eenant et th\u00e8mes hypnotiques aux influences orientales. Le vibraphone de Brennan, aux sonorit\u00e9s acoustiques chatoyantes et parfois trait\u00e9es \u00e9lectroniquement \u2013 \u200b\u200bapporte profondeur et couleur, tandis que Stewart et Taylor forment une section rythmique d&rsquo;une coh\u00e9sion et d&rsquo;une r\u00e9activit\u00e9 exceptionnelles.
