Inspir\u00e9e par le cin\u00e9ma, la litt\u00e9rature et le jeu vid\u00e9o King\u2019s Quest, Frances cr\u00e9e un monde \u00e0 la fois digital et physique, o\u00f9 sa voix intuitive sert de fil conducteur \u00e9motionnel. Apr\u00e8s des d\u00e9buts dans le punk underground avec Giant Peach et deux albums solos remarqu\u00e9s, elle s&rsquo;est illustr\u00e9e dans la composition de musiques de films d&rsquo;art politique. Co-produit par Andr\u00e9a Schiavelli (Eyes of Love) \u00e0 Brooklyn et dans le Queens, et masteris\u00e9 par Sarah Register (Kim Gordon, Black Midi, Faye Webster), l&rsquo;album brouille les pistes entre v\u00e9rit\u00e9 et illusion, \u00e9voquant une confession personnelle adress\u00e9e \u00e0 soi-m\u00eame plut\u00f4t qu&rsquo;\u00e0 un tiers. Musicalement influenc\u00e9e par Bj\u00f6rk, Broadcast ou encore Burt Bacharach, elle privil\u00e9gie ici le piano \u00e0 sa guitare habituelle, cr\u00e9ant une \u0153uvre temporelle dilat\u00e9e.
