Massive Shoe navigue entre folk-pop minimaliste, art rock et pop baroque. L\u2019album est produit et majoritairement interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 par Dylan, qui joue \u00e9galement au sein des groupes australiens Cool Sounds et Good Morning, et a tenu la batterie pour Snowy Band et Kankawa Nagarra. Il est tentant de comparer ces chansons aux grandes \u0153uvres du pass\u00e9. Son falsetto, son sens des harmonies et la finesse de ses arrangements semblent hors du temps. Pourtant, quelque chose dans son \u00e9criture et dans sa mani\u00e8re de formuler les choses para\u00eet profond\u00e9ment contemporain. Katie Crutchfield, MJ Lenderman, This Is Lorelei et Black Country, New Road ont tous invit\u00e9 Way Dynamic en tourn\u00e9e, tandis que Elton John a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019il ne pouvait tout simplement pas arr\u00eater d\u2019\u00e9couter \u00ab\u00a0Ibiza\u00a0\u00bb ! Les chansons de Dylan Young n\u2019ont pas peur de la sensibilit\u00e9, pas plus qu\u2019elles ne fuient l\u2019absurde ou l\u2019humour. Au fil des morceaux, il peut aussi bien imaginer un voyage dans l\u2019espace que d\u00e9plorer sinc\u00e8rement un malentendu.
